Ok so that title was SUPER basic bitch (see more here). Anywaaaaays, let’s talk about how much I love Fall. Here in Virginia, Fall has the absolute most perfect weather. The temperature still stays in the 60-70s zone which is perfect, but the humidity is gone and my hair and skin can now rejoice, hallelujah! What I also love about the changing season is breaking out all my fall clothes. This week I added 3 new pieces to my collection. Check them out below.
My Vince Camuto black studded loafers, only $39.99 at Marshalls! I don’t know about you but I’m loving the loafer look this fall. It’s adds such a polished look to the everyday flats.
Now it’s your turn, what is your favorite thing about fall?
Last week I was perusing etsy, and stumbled across this amazing necklace. I absolutely love how detailed this necklace is, while still remaining dainty and refined. The best part is, they can position the heart anywhere in the state, so you can show some hometown love.
I’m wearing mine today, getting excited to fly home next week for our annual Cape Cod vacation! Hope everyone has a fantastic Monday, hopefully this week flies by!
Happy Hump Day ya’ll!
I have a wedding coming up in a few weeks and think it’s the perfect time to try out Rent the Runway! If you aren’t familiar, it is a website where you can rent designer dresses, for a fraction of the retail price. This works out perfect, since I tend to wear a dress once and then it mysteriously ends up in the back of my closest in a rolled up ball. Below are some options I’m considering.
It is VERY helpful that past customers upload photos and reviews of the dress they wore, which is making it much easier for me to make a decision. Because we all have been in the situation where a dress look amazing on the website but then when it arrives it is nothing like you ever imagined, in the worst possible way. I will have a backup dress just in case, but am looking forward to trying this out.
Have you tried Rent the Runway? Which dress should I pick?
- Toms are my go to travel shoe. If you do not own a pair of Toms, please go buy them right now . They are literally the most comfortable shoe in the entire world. They run large so keep that in mind.
- Boyfriend jeans. What does everyone think of boyfriend jeans? My boyfriend likes to call them the “anti-boyfriend” jeans because they are loose fitting and don’t show off any curves/booty. I personally love them because you can dress them up or dress them down and they still look fab.
- I absolutely love this Tory Burch bag. Not only is it stylish, but it is functional. It has a zipper, people! I can’t even begin to tell you how disappointed I get when a travel bag doesn’t zip. You’re just asking for all your personal belongs to be dumped out and exposed for all the world to see!
Bathing suit season is upon us (at least in Virginia), and it’s amazing how many trends there are when it comes to a Lycra/Spandex blend of fabric and string. I normally keep it simple, all my bathing suits are 2 pieces (with the exception of a monokini that I’m too chicken to wear), and are in basic colors (red, black, white, blue, green, purple…you get the idea).
This photo couldn’t be more spot on. This is my life.
Anywaysss…this summer I want to try and spice it up and jump out of my comfort zone of the basic bikini. Below are some cute ideas I put together to inspire me to rock that sexy suit, and even if you like to keep it basic, it doesn’t take much to spice it up. What’s your summer go to style at the pool/ocean/lake/concrete?
